Invoice authenticity & document fraud

Shop policy

The shop desk is the original. The PDF is a copy.

AI Baba Auto Tinting & Detailing issues invoices and receipts from the shop desk at 127 Manville Road, Unit 1, Scarborough, ON. Business Number 70105 1351. HST registered. Every authentic document has a unique number (INV-AIB-… or RCP-AIB-…) stored in that desk.

A PDF, printout, screenshot, or AI rewrite is not the original. Anyone can change a date issued, an invoice number, a vehicle, a total, or a “PAID” mark. We will honour only what the shop desk shows at https://www.aibabaservices.ca/verify.

How to confirm a document

  1. Open https://www.aibabaservices.ca/verify.
  2. Type the invoice or receipt number exactly as printed.
  3. Compare issued date, client name, vehicle, services, total, and paid / unpaid with the file you were given.

If the verify page says PAID IN FULL, the account is closed in our books. If it says UNPAID — BALANCE DUE, or No authentic record, a PDF that claims otherwise is false. Do not accept it as proof of payment, work, or tax.

Dealers, insurers, lenders, employers, and other shops: if someone sends you an AI Baba PDF that this site does not confirm — especially one stamped paid when the desk still shows unpaid — please tell us the same day.

Report a false copy

Email us as soon as possible.

babaservices33@gmail.com · babaservices33@gmail.com

Telephone +1 (437) 545-7974. Shop: 127 Manville Road, Unit 1, Scarborough, ON.

Send the PDF or photo, the number on it, who sent it, and what looks wrong (date, number, paid stamp, amount, vehicle). Keep the original message. Do not alert the sender if you believe the file is being used to deceive a third party.

What we prohibit

Without our written authority, no person may:

  • Change the date issued, due date, invoice or receipt number, client name, vehicle, services, quantities, prices, HST, total, paid status, or payment method.
  • Use artificial intelligence, PDF editors, image editors, photocopiers, or any other tool to produce a document that looks like ours but does not match the shop desk.
  • Add a false “PAID”, “PAID IN FULL”, or similar mark.
  • Invent a number, letterhead, or Business Number and present it as AI Baba Auto Tinting & Detailing.
  • Give that file to a dealer, insurer, lender, employer, accountant, Canada Revenue Agency, another shop, or any other person as if it were genuine.
  • Use a genuine unpaid invoice as if it were paid, or a genuine paid invoice as if the date, amount, or vehicle were different.

“I only asked an AI to change the date” is not a defence. The file is still a false document if it is not the shop-desk original.

Canadian criminal law

This is a plain-language notice of offences that may apply under the Criminal Code of Canada. It is not legal advice. Police and the Crown decide charges. Courts decide guilt.

  • Forgery — sections 366 and 367. Making a false document, knowing it to be false, with intent that it be used or acted on as genuine, is forgery. Punishment may be an indictable offence with a maximum of fourteen years’ imprisonment, or a summary conviction offence.
  • Uttering a forged document — section 368. Knowing a document is forged and using, dealing with, or acting on it as if it were genuine — including sending a doctored PDF to a dealer or insurer — is a separate offence, punishable on the same scale.
  • Use, trafficking or possession of a forged document — section 368.1.Possessing or trafficking a forged invoice intending that it be used as genuine may also be charged.
  • Fraud — section 380. Deceit, falsehood, or other fraudulent means that defrauds the public or any person of property, money, or a valuable security. Where the subject-matter is over five thousand dollars, the offence is indictable with a maximum of fourteen years. Under that amount it may proceed by indictment (maximum two years) or by summary conviction. A court may also make a restitution order under section 738.
  • False pretence — sections 361 and 362. Obtaining money, credit, or property by a false statement of fact — for example presenting a false “paid” invoice to obtain a vehicle release — may constitute an offence of false pretence.
  • Identity fraud — section 403. Fraudulently personating another person, including using another client’s name on a false invoice, may be charged separately.
  • Books and documents — section 397. Destroying, altering, or falsifying books or documents with intent to defraud is an indictable offence.

Offences may be investigated by Toronto Police Service, Ontario Provincial Police, or another competent service, and prosecuted by the Crown in the Ontario Court of Justice or the Superior Court of Justice. We will cooperate with a lawful investigation and produce shop-desk records.

Tax and HST

We are HST-registered. A false invoice used to claim input tax credits, expense deductions, or to hide an unpaid account may engage the Excise Tax Act and the Income Tax Act, including offences for false statements and the civil assessment of tax, interest, and penalties by the Canada Revenue Agency. We will not certify a PDF that does not match our desk. We will correct CRA or a dealer in writing if a false copy is put to them.

Civil recovery and our charges

Separate from any criminal process, AI Baba Auto Tinting & Detailing will pursue civil remedies in Ontario against any person who alters, fabricates, or utters a false copy of our documents, or who uses a genuine copy in a way that misrepresents our records. Those remedies may include the tort of deceit, fraudulent misrepresentation, unjust enrichment, and recovery of the unpaid invoice itself.

From each such person we will seek:

  • the full amount of any unpaid invoice plus HST;
  • all investigation and administrative time spent tracing the false copy;
  • a document-integrity administrative charge for each false copy we identify and have to refute;
  • legal fees and disbursements on a full-indemnity (solicitor-and-client) basis to the extent a court permits under the Courts of Justice Act and the Rules of Civil Procedure;
  • damages for loss of a commercial relationship (including dealer, insurer, or fleet accounts) caused by the false copy;
  • prejudgment interest;
  • an injunction restraining further use or distribution of the false copy.

We may also invoice that person directly for the administrative charge and investigation time. Non-payment of that invoice will be collected as an ordinary shop debt, without prejudice to a larger claim. Where a court later awards costs or damages, amounts already paid will be credited.

Jurisdiction and venue: the courts of Ontario, sitting in Toronto, unless we elect otherwise. Governing law: Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.

Third parties who receive a suspect file

If you are a dealer, insurer, lender, accountant, or other business and you have been given an AI Baba PDF: verify it here first. If it does not match — in particular if it is marked paid and our desk is not — email babaservices33@gmail.com immediately. We will confirm in writing what the desk shows. You are not asked to confront the sender. Preserve the file and the covering message.

Customers who need a genuine correction

If a real invoice has a genuine error (wrong vehicle, wrong spelling, wrong package), do not edit the PDF. Call the shop or email babaservices33@gmail.com. We will issue a corrected document from the desk, with a new or revised number as required. Only that replacement is authentic.

This page is a commercial policy and a warning. It is not a solicitor-client communication and not a complete statement of Canadian criminal, tax, or civil law. Nothing here limits any right, defence, or remedy available to AI Baba Auto Tinting & Detailing at law or in equity.
